Solar Park Sinsheim now operational
Successful joint project between Mannheim photovoltaic company STARVERT Energy (formerly WIRCON) and AVR Energie GmbH
On 13th April 2023, a new photovoltaic ground-mounted system by AVR Energie GmbH was officially put into operation. The planning, technology and construction were the responsibility of the Mannheim-based photovoltaic company STARVERT Energy GmbH (formerly WIRCON), which acted as general contractor. STARVERT Energy has been a reliable, competent partner of AVR Energie GmbH for many years. The system was built and financed by AVR Energie GmbH. After completion, it will now also be operated by the Sinsheim energy service provider. After completion, it will now also be operated by the Sinsheim energy service provider.
Construction of the solar park took just under four months. A total of 4,320 glass-glass bifacial modules (2,398 kWp) were installed, which supply around 2.5 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually and contribute to CO2 savings of around 1,200 tonnes. The solar power generated will be used in the AVR organic waste fermentation plant, which directly neighbours the park. Up to 30 percent of the amount of electricity required can now be covered by solar power. This facilitates long-term planning and supply security.
